I can't believe its almost December!!!! Thanksgiving has come and gone and I don't feel like it really happened at all. The food was pretty good. I was slightly dissapointed because the stuffing wasn't as good as I'd hoped. I put a little too much onion and according to Jack not enough celery. I wrote down some notes for adjustments to next year's receipe.
It's officially crunch time. Three weeks to go and the semester is over. I feel completely un-prepared. I have two finals next week and we are no where near done covering all the topics on them. They are of course my two ugliest finals...so this weekend is not going to be fun for me. The next three weeks are going to go by so fast and be so insane I don't know how I am going to ever squeeze in time to do Christmas shopping!!! I hate being so stressed out before the holidays. It really crushes the holiday spirit. I can't complain since we get done on the 14th, but by the time I get home for Christmas the house is already decorated and the tree has already been bought and it's kinda sad. I can't wait to be done with school and not have the upcoming Christmas season symbolize finals. Since I've been looking into grad schools recently and would like to get my PhD this might not be for like another 7 years...wow that sounds so long and painful!!!
My health and wellness class is the strangest class I've ever taken. Its my first online class ever and it is so odd. Every week we have to do two online quizzes which are impossible and I suck at...they are the trickiest multiple choice questions ever!!! I keep trying to get them all right but I always wind up with a 90 or 95...not that I'm complaing lol. Anyways along with the quizzes are these discussion boards we have to participate in, two a week. The questions aren't hard they just always require a lot of thought and sometimes I just don't know what to put and I hate that other people can read my answers. This week we covered death and dying and I just finished the discussion posts. The one question was do you believe in an afterlife and if so describe it. I of course believe in heaven, but asking someone to describe heaven and make other people understand their view is really difficult and made me think a lot. After a lot of thought I put that I feel heaven is like a big party where everyone drinks some beers and sits around a kitchen table with their family and friends and just hangs out. I'm thinking my view of heaven is very Irish. I basically view heaven to be a typical family gathering where everyone eats, drinks and catches up with each other. It's loud and very entertaining and no one leaves the table even though the kitchen chairs hurt your ass after a while cause your having too much fun to care. This probably sounds very lame, but it sounds good to me lol. I'm very curious to see what other people post throughout the week. I wonder if anyone will comment back and like my view of heaven.

This is Elf, what's your favorite color???
I watched Elf tonight in between the football games..that movie is damn funny!!! I had never seen it before and I was in a laughing kind of mood and I just thought it was sooo hysterical!! I love being in the type of mood where you find everything to be sooo much funnier than it really is. When Karen and I hang out I feel like that always happens. We like to laugh at stupid shows and drive Mag crazy with our stupid comments...I love days like those. Anywayz watching Elf really kicked me into the holiday spirit. I was already excited about Thanksgiving after my trip to the supermarket on Friday. I decided Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday cause the food is amazing...Mag makes a mean bird!!!! And Thanksgiving is better than Christmas even without the presents because their is all the excitment of the upcoming Christmas holiday!!! Like once Christmas morning is over the rest of the day is just kind of blah with a so-so dinner that doesn't always include turkey..lame ass ham lol...but Thanksgiving is fabulous all day and then there is always black friday which to Jackie has nothing to do with shopping and might as well be changed to round two friday!!!! I heart leftovers!!!! This year we are having like 11 people and 4 pies!!! That is way too large a pie to person ratio which means Jackie will eating pie for days...I love it!!!!!

Everything You Own in a Box to the Left
I dyed my hair tonight!!!! Well I should say my fabulous roommate/ hair stylist Mr.Christy dyed my hair. I was growing tired of the whole blonde highlights thing so I decided it was time to go back to dark. And since I am po and not able to afford to go to the salon Mr. Christy was the way to go!!! It's still in the towel right now cause I'm too lazy to blowdry it so I will see in a little while how it looks...its so hard to tell cause when you get out of the shower it of course looks black cause its wet..lets hope it lightens as it dries or else I may have black hair again for a little while lol!!!
In other news I'm going home this weekend for Karen's birthday dinner tomorrow night and to work on Friday and hang with Kelly and to visit Stev on Saturday!!!! All three shall be fabulous!!!! Hopefully Karen likes her gift, I bought it today at Pier One..its a vase she said she liked. Since she basically picked it out I'm thinking the odds are in my favor she will like it. I'm don't know where we are going to dinner, but I love food so hopefully somewhere good. I'm liking food too much recently...I think I put on a couple lbs. Which I know isn't a bad thing since everyone tells me I'm too thin, but I'm worried that if I don't start to exercise a little it's all going to settle in my stomach and that would suck!!!
I don't know why but I have the urge to go see a movie. I haven't been to a movie in a theater since like the summer and I have really wanted to go all week. I just keep renting movies, but its not the same. I really wanted to see Saw 3 cause the first two were so good but I never got the chance..guess I'll just rent it later lol. Maybe I'll go see that movie Borat..everyone on campus keeps saying how funny it is so I might have to check it out.
I can't wait till winter break so I can read some good books!!! I just ordered five books off Amazon and I'm so excited to read them..yes I'm excited about reading I am a nerd hehe!!! I ordered the Glass Castle because my professor recommended it. And I am still on my quest to read some good classic type books so I got In Cold Blood, The Thornbirds, Flowers in the Attic, and East of Eden..all recommended by random folks. Hopefully they are as good as people say.

INSANITY!!!!
WOW!!! I haven't updated this blog in eons!!!! Thats because I have like zero spare time. The only time I'm not running around like crazy is between the hours of 12am-3am which is when I'm usually catching up on homework or thinking about the 20 million things I still need to get done for the week. School has been going great, but it keeps me uber busy. I rocked all my midterms that was exciting. Its always good to get those done cause it makes ya confident for the finals..hopefully!!! On top of school I'm still trying to help plan the wedding which is gettting sooo close..its like 190 days or something according to the knot.com countdown!!! Everytime I log onto that site to search for some info I need I dread reading that little counter in the corner. It might as well be a giant flashing sign screaming how little time I have left to get things under control. I still have to plan and throw a bridal shower, get my dress fitted and altered, find a date, buy a gift, make favors, write a toast, and like three million other little details that I don't yet know about!!!! Weddings are soo much work and sooo much money and it isn't even my wedding...being Maid of Honor is hardcore!!!
In other news, Halloween was yesterday!!! I was a leaf blower..it was fabulous!!!! I found the idea online and since I have a limited budget it was the perfect $3 idea lol!!!! The pictures came out pretty funny and everyone got a good laugh once I explained to them what I was.
Tonight the roommates and I watched the Break-Up...I didn't like it. It wasn't that funny like everyone said it was and it didn't end well. I'm sorry but I like to see a happy/resolved ending and when it doesn't happen that pisses me off. Yeah I get it real life is complicated and messy and unable to be resolved in an hour and a half, but Hollywood isn't real life. When I rent a movie I'm not looking for realistic...if I want to be complicate and messy I'd watch real people's lives. That is my beef for this evening.
